China Postgraduate Network Annual Conference @ London School of Economics, June 30 and July 1, 2011

The Fourth Annual Conference of the China Postgraduate Network will be held at the London School of Economics on June 30 and July 1, 2011.

The China Postgraduate Network is an inter-disciplinary network of graduate, postgraduate and postdoctoral scholars engaged in all aspects of Chinese Studies at British universities. We are affiliated to the British Association of Chinese Studies (BACS), a non-political organisation whose members are drawn from the academic community and also industry, the media and government.

The conference deliberately has no particular theme, and welcomes proposals for panels or individual papers on any topic relating to the study of China. Participation is open to all disciplines, including - but not limited to - anthropology, archeology, art, business, economics, environmental studies, geography, history, international relations, linguistics, literature, philosophy, politics, public health, religious studies and sociology.

Accommodation for the duration of the conference will be provided for those travelling from outside London to present papers, and extended stays in central London at extremely competitive rates can be arranged for participants.
