Scholarships & Fee Waivers - China Media Centre (Westminster University)

The China Media Centre expects to be able to offer support to PhD candidates in the course of this year in the form either of scholarships (approximately 15,000gbp plus tuition) or tuition fee waivers of three years' duration.

Applicants must fill all the normal conditions required of aspirant candidates by the University of Westminster and detailed on the website.

In addition, candidates will normally be expected to have

(1) An academic MA, or be prepared to undertake an MA
(2) A research proposal related to China and to the general area known as CCI (Creative and Culture Industries) of which media comprise a part.

The CMC can offer unrivalled access to Chinese organisations concerned with media, Chinese language training where necessary and membership of the UK’s leading media research unit, CAMRI, with its scholars knowledgable about India, the Arab world, Africa and of course the UK.
